Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Applix. By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time with at least 30 days' notice before changes take effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, stop using the Service and delete your account.

Applix takes a job posting URL and generates a tailored resume and cover letter using AI. You give us the link and your career data; we give you customized documents.

The Service is a tool to assist your job search. It does not guarantee employment, interviews, or any specific outcome.

To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your account information
• Keep your password confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately at info@humos.io if you suspect unauthorized access

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.

We offer free and paid plans. Paid plans auto-renew unless you cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your billing period. No tricks, no traps.

Paid plans auto-renew unless canceled before the renewal date. We send a reminder at least 7 days before renewal. All payments are processed by Stripe.

4.3 Cancellation

Cancel anytime through account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your billing period. No cancellation fees. No phone calls required.

4.4 Refunds

Request a refund within 14 days of purchase or renewal by contacting info@humos.io. Evaluated case-by-case.

Use Applix for your own legitimate job search. Do not fabricate credentials, spam employers, or resell the Service.

You agree not to:

• Generate documents containing false, fabricated, or misleading information
• Submit AI-generated documents without reviewing and verifying all content
• Use the Service for any purpose other than legitimate personal job seeking
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute generated output
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract underlying AI models or source code
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service
• Interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the Service
• Share your account credentials with others

Your data is yours. We need a limited license to process it for the Service, but that license ends when you delete your account.

6.1 Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you provide. You grant Applix a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your content solely to provide the Service. This license terminates when you delete your account.

6.2 AI-Generated Output

You own the outputs generated from your inputs, to the extent ownership rights exist under applicable law. AI-generated content may not qualify for copyright protection, and other users may receive similar outputs from similar inputs.

6.3 No Training on Your Data

Applix does not use your data to train AI models. Our AI provider is contractually prohibited from using API customer data for model training.

This is the most important section. AI can make mistakes. You MUST review everything before using it. Applix is not responsible for errors in AI output that you submit to employers.

7.1 AI Accuracy Limitations

AI-generated content may contain:

• Inaccuracies, errors, or omissions
• Fabricated or hallucinated information (invented job titles, dates, degrees, certifications)
• Formatting issues not compatible with all ATS systems
• Language that does not accurately represent your experience

7.2 Mandatory User Verification

You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all AI-generated content before submitting it to any employer.

Submitting a resume containing false information may constitute fraud or grounds for termination, depending on your jurisdiction.

7.3 AI Hallucination Warning

AI systems occasionally generate plausible-sounding but entirely fabricated information. This is a known limitation of current AI technology.

7.4 No Employment Guarantees

Applix does not guarantee that using the Service will result in job interviews, offers, or employment.

When you paste a job URL, we access the public content to extract job details. We only scrape what you tell us to, and delete it within 90 days.

• We process individual URLs you provide; we do not mass-scrape job boards
• We extract only factual elements and do not reproduce full descriptions verbatim
• Scraped data is retained for a maximum of 90 days
• We do not circumvent login walls, CAPTCHAs, or other access controls

The Service is owned by Applix and protected by intellectual property laws. “Applix” and the Applix logo are trademarks of Applix.

LinkedIn®, Indeed®, Glassdoor®, Greenhouse®, Lever®, Workday®, Handshake®, and Stripe® are registered trademarks of their respective owners.

The Service integrates with third-party services governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Applix is not responsible for third-party practices.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Applix's total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) fees paid in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Applix from claims arising from your use of the Service, submission of unverified AI-generated content, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for Terms violations, legal requirements, security risks, or inactivity exceeding 12 months. Where possible, we provide notice before termination.

We prefer to resolve disputes informally. If that doesn't work, disputes go to binding arbitration. You agree to bring claims individually, not as a class action.

• Informal Resolution: Contact info@humos.io first; we'll attempt to resolve within 60 days
• Binding Arbitration: Administered by JAMS in Los Angeles County, CA, or remotely
• Class Action Waiver: Claims must be brought individually, not as class or representative proceedings
• Exceptions: Small claims court and injunctive relief for IP infringement

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Exclusive jurisdiction lies in Los Angeles County, California.

• Entire Agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the full agreement
• Severability: Unenforceable provisions are modified to the minimum extent necessary
• Waiver: Failure to enforce does not constitute waiver
• Assignment: You may not assign without consent; Applix may assign freely
• Force Majeure: Applix is not liable for failures beyond reasonable control
